We are an all volunteer 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, the promotion of humane animal care, and the reduction of overpoplulation of companion animals in New Mexico.
Our commitment is to:
Reduce overpopulation of unwanted pets in New Mexico
Improve the health and living conditions of companion animals
Promote humane treatment of animals through education
Provide assistance in placing adoptable animals in loving homes
Organize, plan and execute activities for the annual New Mexico's Week for the Animals
Collaborate with other animal organizations and groups to achieve No More Homeless Pets in New Mexico
Operate the PAWS Emergency Food Bank for Pets
Coordinate low-cost spay/neuter programs through local veterinarians,The Santa Fe Animal Shelter’s Wellness Clinic and their mobile spay/neuter van
Build and operate a schoolhouse to teach compassion, respect, responsibility and humane care for all animals.
Promote understanding of the interdependence of people, animals and the environment.
